If rain is allowed to dry on the car the residuary dirt will eat into the cellulose if not removed within a reasonable time. The body should be cleaned with a good quality cleaner and polished with a highclass wax only. Certain polishes offered to the public are abrasive and must not be used under any consideration, as, while they provide a quick polish they remove a film of cellulose at each application. The car should be washed before polishing to prevent dust picking up on the cloth. Always take a soft rag, using a very small quantity of wax, and apply as little as possible to the cellulosed parts of the body. A clean piece of soft rag should be used for obtaining the necessary polish. If the wax is used too freely, it will, if not removed when polishing, accumulate on the body and will collect dirt and dust, which will not add to the appearance of the car.It is always advisable to keep a small pot of paint of the same colour as the body and wings. Every scratch or slight damage which exposes bare metal should be touched in at once; if rust once commences it will spread underneath the surrounding cellulose.DDoor GlaassesThe velvet or felt guide channels sometimes become tight, due to dust and rain. These can be made to work freely by rubbing a little powdered graphite in the glass runs. In order to avoid forcing the lifting channel off the bottom of the glass, care should be taken not to over-wind the mechanism by forcing the handle when the glass reaches the top or bottom position. The door glasses should not be used for the purpose of closing the doors, as this will lead to breakage.Chromium mium Plati atinggTo clean chromium plating it is only necessary to sponge with clean water and polish with a dry duster.
